The Church is actively engaged in efforts to bring about positive change and healing in South Sudan. With the appointment of new leaders who possess both extensive knowledge of the Action Plan for Peace (APP) and experience in Church-led peace processes, the Church has assumed a prominent role in the nation’s reconciliation. The citizens of South Sudan hold great expectations for the Church, relying on its guidance to rebuild the country and foster sustainable peace and development for all.

The leadership of the Church is of utmost importance in the restoration and advancement of the nation. Over 15 Church leaders have joined forces to develop a strategic roadmap for the National Healing and Reconciliation process in South Sudan as part of the South Sudan Council of Churches’ Neutral Forum objectives and broader vision. These individuals will play a pivotal role in driving significant changes in leadership decision-making within South Sudan, leading the way in healing and reconciling the country. Their fresh perspectives and renewed hope serve as a source of inspiration for both the Church and the people of South Sudan.

The South Sudan Council of Churches has implemented various interventions, as expressed by its members during training sessions. These interventions have yielded numerous success stories shared by the participants themselves, as well as the lead facilitators.

In conclusion, the Church’s active involvement in South Sudan’s journey toward positive transformation and healing is commendable. With its dedicated leadership and collaborative efforts, the Church is poised to make a lasting impact on the nation’s future.
