The South Sudan Council of Churches and Fin Church Aid commenced the continuation of their partnership on 6th June 2022 in a one-day meeting “Kick-off meeting.” The APPEAR project was initiated between the South Sudan Council of Churches and Fin Church Aid in January 2020, and unfortunately, due to Covid-19, the activities started in August 2022.
APPEAR initiative is to advocate for the promotion of Peace and Reconciliation through civil societies, youth, and women of faith in South Sudan, which started in Juba and spread throughout the three regions of Wau, Malakal, and Juba, respectively.
This meeting attended by the core team of both FCA and SSCC pointed out some of the achievements, lessons learned, and challenges faced during the project implementation between 2020 and 2022. It also started a continuity of the project till 2023.
